Bişektomi, yanak içindeki Bichat yağ yastıkçıklarının alınmasıyla yüzü daha ince ve üçgen gösteren, elmacık kemiklerini belirginleştiren bir estetik cerrahi işlemdir. Ağız içinden küçük bir kesiyle, iz bırakmadan uygulanır ve ortalama 30–45 dakika sürer. Uygun hastalarda kalıcı, doğal ve dengeli bir yüz profili elde edilmesini sağlar.
İyileşme sürecinde birkaç gün süren şişlik ve hassasiyet normaldir; çoğu hasta 7–10 gün içinde sosyal hayatına dönebilir, nihai sonuçlar ise 1–3 ay içinde ortaya çıkar.
